I love this expression which makes me think of a soft, comfortable and warm universe.
The expression, which appeared in the 17th century, has no connection with a cooked dish ! At the time, on farms, the most beautiful birds were well treated, even pampered, in order to be presented at competitions at fairs or to be sold at a good price at the market.
This apron, so chic, I must admit, augurs well for a good meal !  And for that, I’m always more than ready !
